News Release: Santa Clara, CA., 23 October 2007 Dominar, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of optical coatings, announced that it has completed a total acquisition of Ellis Optical Technologies. Dale Hansen, President and CEO of Dominar, said that the addition of Ellis Optical’s experience in fiber optic and glass technology in general is a valuable extension of Dominar’s expertise. John Ellis, former owner of Ellis Optical, has assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer of Dominar, with responsibility for day-to-day operations. Mr. Hansen said “John isn’t a novice in optical coatings. He’s worked closely with Dominar in developing solutions for various coating challenges for his previous employers, both in Silicon Valley and elsewhere.” The acquisition, Mr. Hansen commented, “allows us to broaden our product offerings and expose our optical design capabilities to a wider customer base.
